Vocal powerhouse and autism advocate, Jodi DiPiazza, has released her first single, “The First Christmas Day.” The classically trained singer’s debut ballad recounts the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem, set to an emphatic piano flourish highlighted by her expressive sincerity and dynamic vocal refrain.  “The First Christmas Day” is sure to be a modern holiday classic and is a must-add to your family holiday music playlists.

Jodi DiPiazza’s lyrics highlight the small details, creating a movie-like scene. She croons about the shepherds seeing the light of God, the humble stable where the Savior was born, Mary and her baby, and makes references to frankincense and myrrh, all setting the stage for the birth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

While this is the artist’s first single, she is no stranger to the music industry. DiPiazza turned heads in 2012, when she sang “Firework” in a duet with Katy Perry, and in 2017, she performed “Rise Up” with Tony-winning actress and multi-hyphenate Cynthia Erivo. Well-known for her autism advocacy, Jodi DiPiazza has made more than 200 notable appearances at major fundraising events, including Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars, Autism Speaks, Children’s Aid and Family Services, and The Special Olympics. Her Broadway debut in “Arts for Autism” culminated in a performance alongside Anastasia’s Max Von Essen.

Jodi DiPiazza is now setting the stage for her solo career, introducing fans old and new to her music with “The First Christmas Day.” Her debut album, Believe, is scheduled for release next year.
