Moving from the prestigious stages of Carnegie Hall and Broadway to the late-night pulse of EDM, Alivia Clark enters her most powerful chapter yet. Blending sultry vocals with thumping club textures, “Breathless” is a booming feminine anthem—a passionate, carefree release born in the space between vulnerability and power.

After a year of quiet contemplation and creative rebirth, the multifaceted powerhouse Alivia Clark is officially back—and she’s skipping the subtle introductions. Known for her show‑stopping theatrical runs and a seven‑year stint as a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall, Clark now steps out of the classical spotlight and straight onto the dance floor. Her highly anticipated comeback single, “Breathless”, marks the definitive dawn of a bold new artistic chapter.

Written solely by Clark and brought to life alongside producers David Mason, Harry Nelnick, and Maxim Laskavy, “Breathless” is a masterclass in genre‑bending. The track fuses the high‑octane pulse of EDM and House with the infectious sensibilities of Electropop, all anchored by Clark’s signature R&B/Soul vocal flair. The result? A late‑night, passionate feminine anthem that captures the intoxicating rush of losing control to desire.

Far more than a comeback track, “Breathless” is a sonic declaration from an artist who refuses to be confined by genre or expectation. Whether you know her from her silver‑screen roles, her television appearances on SNL and Law & Order, or her formidable stage presence, one thing is certain: Alivia Clark’s new era is designed to leave you speechless.

On the New Single: “Breathless”

Breathless” leans heavily into EDM and House, a departure from your theatrical roots. What drew you to this specific “late-night bop” energy for your comeback?

– I want my music to ground the listener in the moment. For all other problems and worries to drift away for just a couple minutes. When the deep bass and catchy vocals kick in, there’s no choice but to grab someone you love and just dance it out.

You’ve described the song as living in the space between vulnerability and power. How do you personally balance those two emotions when you’re performing such an up-tempo, “thumping” track?

– It’s all in the emotions behind the performance and vulnerability of the lyrics and message. While the music might exude one thing, my energy speaks volumes. It keeps the song honest and real!

You wrote “Breathless” solo. When you sat down to write this, did the lyrics come first, or were you already hearing those House-inspired beats in your head?

I was sitting under the palm trees and hot sun in Miami, taking in the beautiful sights. It just came to me instantly. I wrote the song in about 10 minutes. First a couple lines, and the catchy melody and house beats started to unfold. I went to sing through the song with a mentor of mine, Stephen Gleason, at the University of Miami, and I knew immediately that this song was special. I got connected with my incomparable producer-trio, and the song easily unfolded from there! –

You worked with David Mason, Harry Nelnick, and Maxim Laskavy on production. How did they help translate your “sultry and seductive” vocal vision into a dance-floor anthem?

Collaboration and communication! Musicians speak their own language. We talk in feelings, metaphors, and references. A Madison Beer vibe with a Chris Lake inspired sultry beat was the goal. They took my ideas and comments with grace, and after a couple phone calls back and forth, we had a track!

The Art of the Hiatus & Evolution

A hiatus can be a period of intense personal growth. How did this past year away from the spotlight shape the “new era” of Alivia Clark we’re seeing now?

I spent so much time performing live, writing consistently, and figuring out who I truly wanted to be as an artist, and through that I really discovered my inner pop star. It gave me the space to build the vision for this new era of Alivia Clark. One that feels more confident, intentional, and fully authentic to me and the message I want to spread.

You’ve mentioned “Breathless” is just the beginning of a larger artistic chapter. If this song is the “prelude,” what themes can we expect from the rest of the music slated for release this year?

This era feels like passion, power, and pulse. Stepping into my confidence, femininity, and embracing every intense emotion that comes with it.”

Transitioning from Stage to Studio

You spent seven years as a soloist at Carnegie Hall and performed on Broadway. How does that disciplined, classical background influence the way you approach recording a “feminine anthem” like “Breathless”?

It gave me a strong sense of discipline, but also a deep focus on storytelling and emotion in every performance. So even with a song like “Breathless,” which is more feminine and modern, I still treat it with that same level of intention.

Your bio mentions a gift for storytelling. How do you ensure that “raw, heartfelt” connection remains present in a genre like Dance-Pop, which often prioritizes production over lyricism?

I speak from the heart! Even if a song isn’t about one particular person, I always pull from moments in my life. I want my audience to be able to relate to me so they feel less alone. In the joy, in the pain, and in the right now!

The “Dual Threat” Lifestyle

With credits ranging from Law & Order to voicing Skye in Paw Patrol, you’re constantly shifting personas. Do you find that your acting experience helps you “channel a character” when you’re in the recording booth?

100%. Acting has definitely helped me tap into different sides of myself when I’m recording music. Being able to step into a character or emotion so naturally lets me fully lean into the sensual, expressive side of my femininity when I’m in the booth. I think that’s part of what makes songs like “Breathless” feel so cinematic and emotionally immersive. I’m not just singing the song, I’m fully living in it.

You’ve opened for icons like Mariah Carey. What is the biggest lesson you learned from being around performers of that caliber that you applied to your own “return” to the industry?

True star power comes from confidence, presence, and fully owning who you are as an artist. Watching performers at that level made me realize how important it is to step into your vision fearlessly

Rapid Fire / Fun Questions

– The “Late-Night Bop” Vibe: If “Breathless” were a cocktail or a specific city’s nightlife, what would it be?

– Oh for sure an espresso martini. Get the energy up!!

– On Repeat: Your fans are putting “Breathless” on a loop—but what is the one song on your playlist right now that leaves you speechless?

– “Misbehave” Aluna vocals have my heart!!

– The “Slay” Factor: You’re “here to stay and slay.” What is the ultimate “Alivia Clark” power outfit for this new musical era?

– Anything. Sparkly.
