Wildlife Freeway is the music of Sunny A Atema. Based near Joshua Tree California, Wildlife Freeway creates theatrical spaces from the mundane.

Sounds roam to dark oceans and darker forests, tracing cathartic maps of awakening and wonder. Touring with her real upright piano, Sunny shares striking, intimate, haunting songs of reverence, story and interconnectivity. In January 2020, just before the pandemic, Sunny recorded Wildlife Freeway the album, produced and accompanied by Alex Ebert (Edward Sharp). 11 original folk jazz pop song jewels that will be out February 25, 2022.

Produced by Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros), “Family” is a tender love song for healing and acceptance. Sunny describes it as “the most important song I will ever write.” It is a year of therapy in a song, and lets us know that in this life we can’t change where we come from, but we can, day by day, move through the chapters of our lives recognizing who our family becomes.
