NYC-based indie/rock band DΛWNS have released their debut track “COOL” from their upcoming EP. Combining electronic, R&B, and post-rock elements in their music, the trio boasts a unique sound that defies traditional genre. Alongside self-producing their own records, the band places heavy emphasis on their high-energy live show. Their debut EP is expected to release late this summer.

“‘COOL” is a bit tongue in cheek; it’s about that sort of endless pursuit of relevance that our culture embodies. i think that the song mirrors that sentiment sonically: it’s inspired by so many different sounds we’ve grown to love, it ultimately has this sort of frenetic energy.” – Joshua Perna

DΛWNS is Joshua Perna (Vocals), Aaron Brown (Guitar), and Matt Carpenter (Drums).
